Bible Lesson

Now it’s time to jump into our lesson, which includes a song to help you remember the memory verse.

"For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Ephesians 2:10)

Today’s lesson is called “God's Masterpiece"

First, get comfy, grab a Bible, and click on our lesson video below.

Then, after a quick stretch break (or run really fast on the spot), come back together to talk about this story and what it means to YOU!

Summary:  When God created humans, He did something very special that He did not do with anything else that He created. He created people in His own image and gave us many of His same quality and characteristics. God did this because He wants to have a loving relationship with us! He created us to know Him and to worship Him. No other part of creation has this special connection to God. As amazing as God’s creation is, you are His masterpiece. You are the one thing that God, the creator, loves the most and He wants us to grow closer to Him.

Let's talk to god

You did it! You just took a deep dive into God’s Word – together! Let’s take time now to talk to God. Ask your child to share things they’d like to pray about.
Write down their prayer requests and then pray together over each request.

Dear God,
Thank you for creating us. Thank you for creating the many wonders we see around us every day. Please teach us how to act more like your special creations; to be kind and loving, confident and joyful. And help us to share this truth with others so they may also understand how special they are.

In Jesus’ name, amen.
