We are now in our second week of series called, “God’s Masterpiece.” Throughout the next three weeks, you will learn about how God lovingly created and uniquely designed each and every one of us.
In this plan, you will learn about how God made each of us unique. He has a plan and a purpose for you and the way He made you. He wants your life to be one of significance and purpose.
Parents: You can use the videos below alone or together with the RKids Online Experience Plan! Check out the plan below and simply watch the corresponding videos when prompted in the guide! After all, YOU are the best teachers your kids could ever have! Have fun with it!
We love you and are praying for your family today!
R KIDS TEAM
Find a comfy place in your home to gather together as a family. Grab some snacks, grab your Bible, and get ready to make a moment of it!
Now, start off by having each person take a turn discussing the following prompt:
What are some of your special talents?
Let’s get into a time of worship! Take a moment to stand/ stretch and then go ahead and play some worship music in your home. Have fun with it! Raise your hands, jump, close your eyes – engage in the worship moment as a family. It is special.
Now it’s time to jump into our lesson, which includes a song to help you remember the memory verse.
"For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Ephesians 2:10)
Today’s lesson is called “God's Masterpiece"
First, get comfy, grab a Bible, and click on our lesson video below.
Then, after a quick stretch break (or run really fast on the spot), come back together to talk about this story and what it means to YOU!
Summary: Josiah was unique because he had wisdom and a desire to please God that the other kings did not have. He loved God with all his heart and God knew that Josiah would obey Him and do things that pleased Him! Just like Josiah, we are all unique because we are God’s masterpiece. God made all of us different from each other! Each one of us are one of a kind, just like a fingerprint.
How do you think God has made you one of a kind? Answers will vary.
What do you think the word “unique” means? The word “unique” means to be the only one of your kind. Think about that. YOU are the only YOU that exists and God planned it that way!
Think of someone in your life who is having a hard time believing they are special. How can you encourage them this week? We all need to be reminded at times that we are works of art. When we encourage each other, we are showing others God’s love and this pleases God.
You did it! You just took a deep dive into God’s Word – together! Let’s take time now to talk to God. Ask your child to share things they’d like to pray about.
Write down their prayer requests and then pray together over each request.
Thank you for choosing to make each of us differently. Thank you for making us unique. We trust that you have a special purpose for each of our lives. Please help us to better discover the unique life you have planned for us. Your plan, God, is the best plan.
In Jesus’ name,
