Bible Lesson & MEMORY VERSE

Our Bible verse today tells us that God gave us the Bible so we can learn more about Jesus. When we
choose to believe in Jesus, we will have eternal life.

Now, let’s say it all together:
“"And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow-not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below-indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:38-39

Paul sounds pretty confident, doesn’t he? There’s NOTHING that can separate us from God’s love.
Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and if we believe and put our trust in Him,
there’s nothing that can come between us and God.
Paul lived his life like he believed that, too.
He was pretty much fearless in the way he shared God’s love with other people.

Today’s lesson is titled: "From the Heart"

God is the ultimate example of perfect Love.
God is the greatest dad of all time and loves you even when you mess up. God doesn't just love us, but He demonstrates His love to us by giving us His only son, Jesus, so that our mistakes could be forgiven.

There’s nothing that can separate us from God’s love—NOTHING!

Remember, true confidence is believing the things that are true about God. It’s remembering that He’ll never leave you. He has a good plan for your life. Nothing can separate you from His love! Each day, you can decide to live with confidence—to live like you believe what He says is true.

That’s our challenge today and every day.
Live like you believe what God says is true.
No matter what you’ve done, no matter what you’re going through now,
no matter what you might face in the future, NOTHING can separate you from God’s love.

BIBLE STORY - "Gideon"

Read Judges 6

Confidence is living like you believe what God says is true.
This Bible Story help us remember to have confidence in God.

Think about the story of Gideon. Gideon was a normal guy. In fact, he felt like he was kind of a nobody. But that wasn’t how God saw him. God wanted Gideon to lead an army against the Midianites and rescue His people. God sent an angel to Gideon, and here’s what the angel had to say.”

Wow. God seemed to think Gideon was a mighty warrior—not a nobody.
Sure enough, God gave Gideon the confidence to lead his small army.
They blew trumpets and broke jars, and they scared the Midianites away!

Through this story, we can see how ordinary people had EXTREME confidence in God. They trusted Him.
They believed what’s true about Him. They understood how to live fully alive!

What about us? Is that something WE can do too?
Can we live with the same kind of confidence they had?

family discussion questions

5-9 year olds

Have you ever felt like God was far away or not listening to you?

God promises He will never leave us, but what can you do when you just don’t feel like He’s near?

How can you keep Jesus first in your life? Prayer, reading the Bible, worshipping God, and going to church all help keep our hearts turned toward Jesus. And when we turn our lives to Jesus, nothing can ever separate us from God’s love.

Do your parents stop loving you when you disobey? Does God stop loving you when you disobey?
NO. Your parents are upset when you don’t obey but they never stop loving you. God especially forgives you & never stops loving you. God is the best dad ever!

Why do you think we should obey God like we obey our parents/guardians?
Because God loves us with a Never Stopping, Never Giving Up, Unbreaking, Always & Forever Love! And He has the best plans for us! We should live the way He says so we have the best life!

family activity

THIS ACTIVITY WILL remind us of God’s love for us.

Paper, Scissors, Glue, Coloured paper, pencil crayons

Draw a picture of yourself on a blank piece of paper, and then cut it out.

Make a cross with long arms and hearts on the end.

Glue yourself (the cutout picture) to the front of the cross.
Then the arms can reach around us and give us a big hug.

The cross is a picture of Jesus and how much He loves us.
Jesus was the cross and He is giving you a big hug because He loves you so so much.

    Pray it out

God Loves Us with a Never Stopping, Never Giving Up, Always and Forever Love!

Write down your prayer requests and then pray together over each request.

    Dear God,
Your love is amazing! Please help us to see and know how much You love us.
No matter what life throws at us, thank You that You are always there to help us get back up.
Help us to live with confidence each day and remember what’s true about You—that nothing can
separate us from Your love. We love you so much.
